About the competition
The Deines Cultural Center is pleased to announce a Call for Entry for its first Mystery, Magic & The Macabre Juried Exhibition. This exhibition celebrates thoughtful, and unique portrayals of the dark, the mysterious, and the spooky. The competition awards more than $1500 in prizes. All 2d and 3d mediums will be accepted.
This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. Entries must be original works of art that have been completed within the last three (3) years, and have not been previously exhibited in the Deines Gallery. All works must be for sale, and no entry previously sold may be borrowed for entry in the competition.
Entry fee is $25 for up to 3 pieces. Deadline for entry is September 3rd. Notification for accepted artists will be emailed September 9th.
If you need to show multiple views of Sculpture or 3D Artwork, combine views in one image for online submission.
Commission
The Deines Cultural Center offers its services to promote and market the exhibition, and installs both a physical gallery exhibition as well as a digital gallery. In exchange, the gallery retains a 25% commission on all sales.
Shipping and Insurance
Artists are responsible for all costs related to shipping and are strongly encouraged to obtain insurance on works with significant value. The artwork is submitted to the Deines Cultural Center (DCC) and exhibited at the Artist’s own risk and that neither DCC nor any of its agents, and employees shall be responsible for damages or loss that may occur. DCC does not insure items such as the submitted artwork. Artists must also include a prepaid shipping label with the arriving artwork.
Shipped art must be received by September 25th.
Hand delivered art may be brought to the Deines on September 23rd, 24th, and 25th.
Exhibition opens October 1st and runs through November 1st, 2021
